DiMAIO SWORN IN TO GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Assemblyman John DiMaio was sworn in today in Trenton as the newest member of the General Assembly. DiMaio will represent the 23rd Legislative District (Warren and Hunterdon Counties) as he succeeds Marcia Karrow, who was elevated to the State Senate in February. He is a former Warren County freeholder and mayor of Hackettstown.

“I am eager to fulfill my responsibilities representing the 23rd District,” commented DiMaio. “New Jersey faces many challenges and I look forward to contributing to the debate. I hope to bring my record of fiscal responsibility as a freeholder and mayor to Trenton.”

Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce has named DiMaio to serve on the Assembly’s Telecommunications & Utilities Committee and the Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee.

“Taxpayers in New Jersey are under attack and looking for answers that don’t include taking more money out of their pockets,” continued DiMaio. “Difficult choices need to be made, but elected officials should not burden the hard working people in the state any further. I appreciate the opportunity to serve in the General Assembly and be a voice for the people in Warren and Hunterdon Counties.”
