Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce, R-Morris and Passaic, announced today that he will be joined by Assistant Republican Whip John Amodeo, R-Atlantic, on the Legislative Task Force on Public Broadcasting that was established on June 28 by Senate Concurrent Resolution 113.
The 10 member task force will be represented by five members of the General Assembly, two of whom are selected by Leader DeCroce and the remainder by Speaker Sheila Oliver.
The committee is charged with studying and making recommendations pertaining to Governor Christie’s proposal to transfer the assets of the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority to an independent, non-profit organization.
The bipartisan panel is required to submit a report of its findings by October 15 to Governor Christie and leaders of the Legislature.
