ADDIEGO AND RUDDER STATEMENTS |
Assembly Republican members Dawn Marie Addiego and Scott Rudder issued the following statements in response to Governor Christie's Fiscal Year 2011 budget address:
“New Jersey is facing a fiscal crisis of unprecedented proportions,” said Addiego, R-Burlington. “The budget Governor Christie proposed today is a blueprint for change that has been needed for many years. He is attacking our fiscal problem at its root – reckless spending which has put our state on the verge of financial collapse. While painful now, the governor’s solutions will begin the process of prioritizing public services, shrink our bloated government and put the state on a path to renewed and sustainable growth.”
“Governor Christie today has paved the road to economic prosperity by proposing responsible solutions to the state’s staggering $10.7 billion budget deficit,” commented Rudder, R-Burlington. “While it will take time to undo the damage caused by former Governor Corzine and his administration on our economy and taxpayers, Governor Christie’s plan begins the process of making our state an affordable place to live. He has again made it very clear that he isn’t afraid to make the tough, but very necessary decisions that put our taxpayers ahead of special interests.”
