Assemblyman Scott T. Rumana was elected to his first term in the Legislature in November 2007. The Assemblyman graduated from Hartwick College in 1987 with a B.A. in Management, and from New York Law School in 1991. He served on the Wayne Township Council from 1994 to 1997. He was appointed to the Passaic County Freeholder Board in 1996 to fill an unexpired term and was elected to a full term in 1997. He was elected Mayor of Wayne in 2001 and re-elected in 2005. He also serves as Passaic County Republican Chairman.

Assemblyman Rumana is a member of the Wayne Township Planning Board, Chairman of the township Open Space Committee and the founder of the Passaic River Flood Control Task Force. Assemblyman Rumana and his wife Laura, were married in 2006.
