Representing constituents in Bergen County’s 39th District, Assemblyman Bob Schroeder is serving his first term in the General Assembly. He has been active in public service for 30 years.

A lifelong resident of Bergen County, Schroeder first began serving his community in 1980 as a volunteer firefighter, serving two terms as chief. His first elected office was Washington Township Councilman in 1991 where he has served as council president three times and vice president three times.

Using his experience as a corporate executive, Schroeder has developed as a corporate executive to find solutions for his constituents at the local level and plans to use that approach in the state Legislature.

Schroeder founded All Points International Distributors, a local company that supports relief efforts for the United States, NATO, the United Nations and other international relief organizations. He has traveled extensively to provide aid and assistance to areas in need and has received numerous honors and awards for his humanitarian efforts, including his support for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Schroeder and his wife have two children. They belong to the Archdiocese of Newark and Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church.

He remains active in the community, sitting on the boards of many civic organizations, and serving on the Consultative Board for Immaculate Heart Academy. He is also a Trustee for the Leo P. McGuire Public Safety and Education Foundation, a member of the New Jersey-New York Volunteer Fireman’s Association, New Jersey State Fire Chief’s Association, and the Bergen County 200 Club. He is past president of the Pascack Valley Police Vest Fund, and is on the Advisory Board of Directors for Lakeland Bank.

Bob is also the founder of www.KeepBergenSafe.com, a non-partisan, non-profit effort dedicated to preserving and protecting victims' rights in the state of New Jersey.
