Mr. Russo is serving his twelfth term in the Assembly.

He graduated from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va., (Phi Beta Kappa) in 1975, and Seton Hall Law School, in 1978.

The Assemblyman was admitted to the bar in 1979, and is a partner in the Teaneck firm of Russo and Russo. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Executive Committee. He served as attorney for the towns of Bergenfield and Leonia, the Wyckoff Planning Board, the Bergen County Office on Aging, and the Bergenfield Zoning Board of Adjustment. He was municipal prosecutor for Wyckoff in 1987 and 1988.

Assemblyman Russo was a president of the Bergenfield and Dumont Rotary Club. He is a former municipal chairman and president of the Ridgewood Republican Club and former member of the advisory panel of the Bergen County Office on Aging. He was a member of the New Jersey Historical Commission from 1990 to 2000. He is a former trust of the Bergen County Housing Development and a former trustee of the visiting Homemaker Home Health Service of Bergen County.

Mr. Russo and his wife, the former Rosemarie Adamiak, have two children, Heather Lauren and Peter Thomas.
