After winning election to the New Jersey State Legislature in 2011, Jack M. Ciattarelli was selected to complete the unexpired term of late Assemblyman Peter J. Biondi. Ciattarelli was sworn into his Assembly office in early January 2012.
Ciattarelli served on the Somerset County Board of Freeholders from 2007-11, and as its Director in 2010. He was a member of the Borough of Raritan Council from 1990-95, serving as its President in 1991 and 1995.
Ciattarelli earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration (Finance) at Seton Hall University, where he has also taught as adjunct professor. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
Ciattarelli is a successful entrepreneur and small business owner twice over, having founded two publishing companies, the second of which he continues to serve as CEO and Publisher for a Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine journal.
A life-long resident of the region, he was born in Somerville and raised in the Borough of Raritan where his grandparents immigrated in the early 1900s. Ciattarelli and his wife, Melinda, have resided in Hillsborough since 1998, enrolling all four of their children in the public school system. Ciattarelli is active in his community, having coached his four children in various recreational activities.top
