Mary Pat Angelini, ofOceanTownship, was sworn in as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly on January 8, 2008. She currently serves as Deputy Conference Leader.
Since 1992, Angelini has been the executive director of a non-profit organization which provides educational programs and services to schools, businesses, and community organizations to counter the negative effects of drug abuse and violence.
Since taking office, the assemblywoman has fought to improve conditions at state psychiatric hospitals, pushed for stronger regulations for child care centers and sponsored legislation to combat underage drinking and drug abuse.
Angelini earned a Bachelor of Social Welfare from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her husband, Robert, is a veteran police officer with more than 22 years of service inMonmouth County. They reside in OceanTownship with their son, Bobby, who is currently attending theUniversity of Maryland in College Park. Their daughter, Toni, lives in Matawan with her children Alex, Angelina and Isabella.top
