Simon’s proposed legislation aims to improve special education process and cost

Even before the ruling, a New Jersey assemblywoman had proposed that the governor create a state-level committee to scrutinize current special education practices and make recommendations to improve them.

Some schools are doing an “excellent job” in providing special education services, according to Assemblywoman Donna Simon, R-16, which covers Hunterdon and Somerset counties as well as South Brunswick in Middlesex and Princeton in Mercer.
